As a community that aims to provide a great experience for everyone, we were careful to create a Code of Conduct which all attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our events are required to agree. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everybody.
Be excellent with each other
We value the good relationship between all members of the community, so keep the relationship respectful, cordial and friendly between all members. We do not tolerate any aggressive attitude or violence, including inciting hostility towards any individual or encouraging self-aggression. Anyone can be notified or even removed if they present any conduct that they do not respect for the friendly relationship. No harassment, bullying, inappropriate discrimination or public humiliation is tolerated We consider harassing verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, weight, ethnicity, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, harassment, photography or recording, sustained disturbance at lectures or events, physical contact inappropriate and unwanted sexual attention. Participants who are asked to cease any harassing behavior must comply immediately. Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. All participants (including organizers) must take care not to create a sexualized environment. If a participant demonstrates harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event.
Participants are expected to promptly comply with requests to discontinue any harassment or bullying behavior. Be kind to others. Do not insult or offend. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment, sexism, racism or exclusion jokes are never appropriate, no matter where.
Respect people’s right to privacy
We want to provide a safe and welcoming environment, conducive to exchanging experiences and helping people who may find themselves in difficulty, so do not divulge or share the stories, information or data of the members of the community. Keeping the environment safe is everyone’s responsibility. If a person does not comply, they will be automatically excluded.
Take care of the space that welcomes you Our meetings are supported by companies and institutions that believe in the exchange of knowledge and experiences, feeling that a person is well received and welcomed is a two-way street. So, take care of the space and keep it organized and clean.
We value your presence
We expect participants to follow these rules at any event or group in the Ladies That UX community. If you have seen a situation that goes against the code of conduct, contact your chapter leadership or write to help@ladiesthatux.com
